Ethiopians protest in favour of the government and criticise the West
Ethiopian cities and towns have had anti-Western protests today.
The demonstrations are thought to have been planned by local administrations to show their support for the federal government's most recent offensive in the conflict raging in the Tigray area.
Thousands of people from all around the nation attended the events of local government leaders and their supporters.
Selamawit Berihun, a demonstration participant in the Ethiopian capital Addis Abeba, said: "I want to make it clear to the west that we desire peace and love. All people are our people, and we don't want anyone to perish. We can run our nation independently without anyone else's influence."
Banners imploring the US to cease helping the Tigray were widely seen.
